If you’re looking for a dramatic change that transforms your face and delivers long-lasting results, you want a facelift. For folks throughout Chesterfield and O’Fallon, Missouri, that means Synergi Facial Surgery, where we perform world-class plastic surgery in state-of-the-art facilities using the most advanced technology.
But sometimes, you just want a little touch-up or a quick fix without the hassle of a long-term commitment.
We’ve got you covered there, too. Dr. Robert Cristel offers an array of noninvasive and minimally invasive treatments that mimic the results of a traditional facelift, meaning you can come in for a nonsurgical facelift with less downtime and fewer risks than its surgical counterpart.
In this guide, we delve into each treatment, its benefits, and how each does its part to deliver facelift-like results.
Neurotoxins
Neurotoxins like Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Daxxify® have been game-changers in the field of aesthetic medicine. They work by blocking the nerve signals to your facial muscles, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Over time, neurotoxins have become more refined, allowing for more precise application and natural-looking results that last 3-6 months.
However, while neurotoxins are effective for dynamic wrinkles (those caused by muscle movement), they may not be as effective for static wrinkles (those present at rest) or sagging skin. But don’t worry — we have treatments for those concerns, too.
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are another popular noninvasive treatment. These injectable products add volume to your face, replacing lost fat tissue and collagen to give your face a more youthful appearance. Dr. Cristel uses various brands of fillers, including Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Sculptra®, because they each contain proprietary formulas that specialize in different cosmetic issues.
He selects the most suitable solution to address your unique concerns. Like neurotoxins, their effects are temporary, however provide longer lasting results, usually about 6-18 months.
Laser treatments
Laser treatments use light energy to stimulate collagen production, improving your skin texture and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Instead of knives and needles, laser treatments use the power of light to target the tissues deep under the surface and stimulate cell renewal.
Lasers can also zero in on the clumps of melanin — the pigmented cells that form dark spots and patches — and break them up. When your body flushes those destroyed cells, you have clearer, more even-toned skin.
Ultrasound skin tightening
Our ultrasound skin tightening treatments use sound waves to heat your skin’s deep layers, stimulating your natural collagen production. Over time, the replenished collagen forms scaffolding and structures of protein fibers under your skin that effectively lift and tighten the surface of the skin.
Ultrasound skin tightening has become increasingly popular due to its ability to target deeper layers of the skin without damaging the surface.
Chemical peels
As the name suggests, chemical peels involve applying a chemical solution to the skin to remove its outer layers and reveal fresher, smoother skin. We offer superficial chemical peels to brighten your complexion, medium peels to lift away fine lines and wrinkles that reside in the uppermost layers, and deep peels to address embedded blemishes.
Platelet-rich plasma
Depending on your unique skin issues, Dr. Cristel may recommend adding platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to your treatments. It’s a simple procedure of creating a concentrated serum from a small sample of your blood.
The serum contains plasma (the liquid part) and platelets, which release growth factors when we inject them into your skin or incorporate them into your treatment. The growth factors heal damaged tissues and help your skin help itself.
